iET Service Asset and Configuration Management

The iET Service Asset and Configuration Management module is a central part of the ITIL v3-aligned, iET ITSM solution. iET ITSM Service Asset and Configuration Management supports the entire integrated lifecycle management by managing the configuration items from acquisition to deletion. Through the graphical visualization of all configuration items and their relationship to each other, any effects and dependencies can be determined immediately.

iET CMDB Intelligence

iET CMDB Intelligence provides a standard interface for bringing data from discovery tools into the CMDB in a controlled way via mapping and filtering, so you have a standard supported interface with business workflows. The solution, which features an intuitive interface with simple drag and drop capabilities for data integration without scripting, is fully automated and provides a complete view of IT assets and all interdependencies between the components. With the automated variance comparison between actual IT infrastructure and CMDB, the data in your Configuration Management Database will always be current and correct. iET CMDB Intelligence immediately shows the differences and ensures the control of changes.

iET CMDB Intelligence goes beyond most other solutions on the market today by offering these essential capabilities:

• Federation: As the infrastructure scales up, it is not practical to store all the detailed configuration data in the CMDB. Instead, best practice is to store only "core" data in the CMDB with links to the "trusted" data source which is kept in local domains. iET CMDB Intelligence provides full federation capability and supports multiple vendor data sources.
