Overwhelming Need for Configuration and Change Management
Solutions
iET Solutions, a leading provider of
ITIL based IT Service Management (ITSM) software solutions and
services, today announced the results of a survey conducted at
CeBIT 2007 in Hannover, Germany. CIOs, IT directors, and IT
managers confirmed the benefits of ITSM solutions, and those
that did not have a solution in place saw clear areas for
improvement within their organizations. One of the key
findings from the survey is that 77% of the respondents did
not know what effect an IT 'change' could have to their
infrastructure, revealing an overwhelming need for
configuration and change management solutions. Click

An Update from Tim Jarrett, Director of
Product Management
Some among you may have
heard that ITIL V3, the new version of the IT Infrastructure
Library best practice standard, was released at the end of
May. Since iET ITSM is built from the ground up on ITIL, you
may wonder what this means for managing your service
organization with iET ITSM. Are you going to need to make big
changes in your processes and how you do business to maintain
alignment with the best practices? Will you have to implement
massive new code bases to stay in compliance?
