Action plans are now even more flexible and provide additional automation to optimize IT service processes. Using the ITIL®-certified solution iET ITSM for IT and service management, organizations can manage 13 ITIL®-defined processes, including incident, problem, change and configuration management. Automated actions are essential in IT because every manual intervention is time consuming and error prone. The new "System Automated Actions" in iET ITSM Action Management enable organizations to reduce manual interactions to a minimum. Process steps are automated as far as possible and are linked with the few manual operations that cannot be processed by the system itself. IT administrators and process owners can define process standards using action plans and System Automated Actions. Action plans and System Automated Actions can easily be created, maintained and modified by the business users, without having to involve systems developers. Once created, System Automated Actions can be integrated into the business processes as standardized templates and can be used in both incident and configuration management as well as in all other ITIL® processes. System Automated Actions also allow interfaces to third-party systems to be integrated seamlessly into IT processes. This reduces media discontinuity in the IT landscape.
