UNICOM® Global acquires solar plant from NORESCO

UNICOM Global powers next-generation 1-Gigawatt Hyperscale Data Center Campus at Whitehouse Station, New Jersey

Whitehouse Station, NJ - September 30, 2025 – UNICOM Science and Technology Park, Inc. (“USTP”), a division of UNICOM Global, today announced it has acquired Solar Power Plant and Energy Services at its Whitehouse Station, New Jersey facility from NORESCO, LLC.

“Acquisition of NORESCO’s solar capacity and investing in a large scale Battery Energy Storage System (“BESS”), we are aligning UNICOM’s commitment to AI and hyperscale roadmap to deliver next-gen services for our customers worldwide” said Mr. Corry Hong, Founder, President and CEO of UNICOM Global. “Generative AI, Quantum Computing and Photonic Computing are the new gold rush. The future belongs to organizations that control both Generative Quantum AI (“GenQAI”) Computing and Hyperscale-Power. I envision USTP will process massive corporate data feeds to AI tasks for model training and optimization, while Generative AI can design new Quantum algorithms and materials by simulating complex quantum systems. This GenQAI protocol is called UNICOM’s Universal Gateway GenQAI (UniGW® GenQAI) platform that will deliver "real-time” predictive analytics for subatomic particle behavior with extreme precision benefiting human equity for the next decade. ”

The acquisition accelerates UNICOM’s plan to construct a 1-Gigawatt Hyperscale Data Center Campus, a 1,100-acre flagship development that will host Generative AI, Quantum Computing, Photonic Computing, IBM z/OS, IBM Power, and Linux/Unix multi-platform infrastructure. Designed for the most demanding generative AI workloads of the U.S. Government, NASDAQ 100, and Global 2000 enterprises, the project positions USTP as one of the most advanced structured and unstructured data compute and digital infrastructure hubs in the world.

As part of UNICOM’s Infrastructure Investment Program, USTP will implement a layered energy and power strategy that includes expanding on-site solar generation, upgrading two (2) existing Power Substations and deploying high-efficiency 300-megawatt natural gas turbines, and incorporating a large-scale BESS facility at the existing Central Utility Plant (“CUP”). These infrastructure investments are designed to deliver behind-the-meter resilience, lower latency, and stable power economics for mission-critical workloads and future XScalers and Edge Computing deployments with UNICOM Technology Park (“UTP”) in Virginia, UNICOM Innovation Park (“UIP”) in Illinois and UNICOM data centers throughout the USA and overseas.

USTP currently houses six (6) data centers on campus and will expand to hyperscale facilities purpose-built for generative AI and quantum computing. The campus serves as UNICOM’s center of excellence for IBM mission-critical legacy systems - including IBM mainframe, IBM Power, and Linux/Unix platforms.
